4. Children's Privacy

Bookvy is designed for students in Classes 4 to 10. Where required, account creation for minors should be completed by a parent, guardian, or authorized school representative.

We collect only the information necessary to deliver educational services. We do not knowingly sell personal information of children. Parents and guardians may request access to or correction of a linked child's account information by contacting us.

Where advertising is shown, every account is treated as belonging to a minor. Students in Class 7 and below — and any account whose class is not known — are marked as child-directed to our advertising partner, which disables personalized (interest-based) advertising for them and limits ads to a general-audience content rating. Older students are marked as teen-directed with an equivalent restriction. We do not permit advertising partners to build interest profiles of children or to use their data for purposes other than serving, capping, measuring, and securing the ads themselves.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

• With schools or institutions that provision accounts for their students, as permitted by your enrollment.
• With trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery), under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• With payment partners such as Razorpay to complete transactions and handle disputes or refunds.
• With our advertising partner, Google (Google AdMob), where ads are shown on the free plan, strictly as described in the "Advertising" section below.
• When required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of BOOKVY SMART LEARNING TECHNOLOGY PRIVATE LIMITED, Bookvy users, and the public.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, subject to continued protection of your data.

6. Advertising

Bookvy offers an ad-supported free plan. Students on that plan may see advertisements inside the app; paid subscribers do not see advertisements.

Advertising is delivered by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may receive a device advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and app information, and data about how you interacted with the ad (for example that it was shown, closed, or tapped). Google uses this to select and display the ad, to cap how often you see it, to measure performance, and to detect invalid or fraudulent activity. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
